Biography
Josie Long has been described as a unique voice in the business. She creates a buzz everywhere she goes with obsessive and ridiculous stories, leaving audiences smitten with her innocent wonder and loveable madness. She has embarked on 4 solo tours and has performed at the Montreal, Melbourne, Adelaide and New Zealand Comedy Festivals. Her second show Trying Is Good was released on DVD in 2008 and her third, All of the Planet’s Wonders (Shown in Detail) was broadcast as a radio series. Her shows are about fostering curiosity and enthusiasm, self-improvement and teaching yourself as much as is possible.
Josie performs stand up across the country and often enjoys gigging for charities – something she is highly passionate about.

2011 - The Future Is Another Place
This is a show about Josie's newly found political awakening. It's about feeling newly tormented by the world around you and about optimism and despair. This show was nominated for the Fosters Comedy Award for Best Show at the Edinburgh fringe.

2010 - Be Honourable!
Another show nominated for the Fosters Comedy Award and met with critical acclaim. This show is about trying to be a saint, strangers, politics, complacency and breakfast. Lots about breakfast.
Josie took this show on a 50-date tour stretching as far as New York and Paris.

2008 - All of the Planet's Wonders (Shown in Detail)
A show whereby Josie tried to rediscover knowledge and inspire the audience to learn more about science and the world around them. All of the Planet's Wonders gained rave reviews, saw Josie sell out various UK venues and was broadcast as a series on BBC Radio 4.

2007 - Trying is Good
Josie's second solo show became so successful, it was released on DVD in 2008. It's about finding the joy in everyday life.

After supporting Stewart Lee on tour in 2005, Josie presented her debut solo show in 2006 and walked away winning the Perrier Award for Best Newcomer.
She gained rave reviews at the Fringe and went on to sell out a run at London's Soho Theatre.

You may recognise Josie's cheeky little face from TV. Josie has appeared on Charlie Brookers You Have Been Watching, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, The Bubble, 8 out of 10 Cats as well as writing for, and appearing on Skins.
Josie used to have a weekly feature on BBC Radio 1, and appeared regularly on Robin Ince's podcast 'Show & Tell', co-hosted 'The Resonance FM show 'I, DJ' and guest starred on Absolute Radio's Sunday Night Show with Iain Lee.
