Patrick Monahan's Family Stand-Up Show

- Old leicester venue, Leicester
Patrick Monahan - ‘Charming and bounding with enthusiasm’. The List
Funny and adorable comedian Patrick Monahan knows how to work a room and
engage an audience with a strongly skilled blend of ad lib banter and stand
up. His material works incredibly well with a family audience being clean
with an emphasis on fun!

Patrick has performed kids shows throughout the UK, at the Edinburgh
festival for a number of years and also has taken his family entertainment
show to Australia's Adelaide Festival. He has been seen on Sorcerer's
Apprentice CBBC and Edinburgh Festival 2012 saw Patrick hosting all the CBBC
Showcase shows at the BBC stage.

'the jokes aren't too different in tone from his regular stand up, which has
always had a family-friendly air and it's testament to Monahan's universal
wit that eight year olds double over with laughter at the same punchlines.
It serves to create an atmosphere so convivial you wish more comedians
performed for children - although there's no need to take any along to enjoy
this big-hearted show'
The List (Edinburgh Festival 2009) **** 4 Stars

'It is at the surely sign of an accomplished comedian when they can have
both adults and children in stitches , slap stick and surrealism manages
this feat....Monahan displays an impressive ability to manage hecklers from
an overactive sugar fuelled audience, most of which are under 10 and he
connects well with children. A genuinely funny show for adults as well as
children which demonstrates Monahan's wide ranging comic ability' Edinburgh
Festivals Magazine **** 4 Stars

'You might just want to smuggle him out under your coat...instantly
loveable, wonderfully unique'. METRO

"the energy of a rabid puppy, I defy anyone not to warm to this Puckish
stand up" The Scotsman

'He has the dark looks and stubble of the Middle
East, married to the charm of the Irish and the
sense of fun of the Teessider. Omid Djalili meets
Dave Allen you might say.' DAILY MAIL

“Consistently boasting the most interesting line ups in the country”
