Nina Gilligan

Nina Gilligan is sometimes outrageous, always hilarious with a charming, loveable persona which belies an acerbic wit.

Nina is a skilled writer, creator and improviser and has written several comedy shows and plays including ‘Rescued’ Nominated for Best Comedy at Greater Manchester Fringe and ‘Broad Shoulders’ receiving 5-star reviews at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival.

She trained as an actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) she received the award for best actor in her final year.

Equally at home in clubs and art centre’s, Nina is opening, closing, and hosting gigs up and down the country.  Recently acknowledged as 2023's Best Act at both the Chortle and North West Comedy Awards and 2021 saw her crowned as the WINNER of the prestigious Leicester Mercury Award after also Winning Liverpool Hot Water and being a finalist in English Comedian of The Year in previous year’s.

Described as ‘A Gem of the Circuit’ and with an ability to ‘Transcend age barriers effortlessly’ she continues to rise through the comedy ranks.
