Terms and Conditions of Use of Just The Tonic


This page (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you the terms and conditions on which we will provide the Booking (as defined below) that you have booked or wish to book through this website, through our application (together the “Site”), through a 3rd party or via telephone. Please read these terms and conditions carefully and make sure that you understand them. You should understand that by making a Booking, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

You should print a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.


We operate the website https://www.justthetonic.com. We are Yippee Productions Limited (we or us). We are registered in England and Wales under company number 05466545 and we have our registered office at Unit 6, 35 Warser Gate, Nottingham NG3 5DF. Our VAT number is 995069075 (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Just the Tonic”, “Just the Tonic Comedy Club” or “Yippee Productions”).

“you”, “your” or “party” are the person or entity named on the booking form; and
“Booking” means the booking of tickets for admission to a Yippee Productions event or Just the Tonic Comedy Club on a specific date together with, where appropriate, any activities, events, food, drink, club packs or other ancillary items set out in your booking request form and that you have booked through the Site or via telephone.


The submission of your booking request constitutes an offer to us, which will be accepted by us upon receipt of a booking confirmation e-mail from us. The contract between us (“Contract”) will only be formed when we send you an e-mail confirmation.

The Contract will relate only to those items and on the date comprised in the Booking. Yippee Productions Ltd will not be obliged to supply any other goods or services.

You may only make a Booking on this Site if you are at least 18 years old.
For the avoidance of doubt, all Bookings are subject to Yippee Productions admissions and other policies. Yippee Productions shall not be obliged to admit you, any member of your party or the entire party if they do not comply with Yippee Productions admissions or other policies and Yippee Productions Ltd shall accept no liability in this regard.

You will need to bring a copy of the tickets attached to the booking confirmation e-mail or the booking confirmation e-mail itself together with your ID (passport, driving licence or payment card) in order to be admitted to the venue on the specific date of the Booking. Yippee Productions will accept no liability if you fail to do this and you are not admitted to the venue.


By making a Booking, you warrant that you are:

• legally capable of entering into binding contracts;
• that you are at least 18 years old; and
• if you are making this Booking in relation to Edinburgh Festival events anyone under 18 in your party is accompanied by an adult where necessary for each venues legal requirements


The price for the Booking will be as quoted on our site from time to time, except in the case of obvious error.

Prices include VAT. However, if the rate of VAT changes between the date of your order and the date of your Booking, we will adjust the VAT you pay, unless you have already paid for the Booking in full.

Our Site contains a large number of products and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts that some of the products on our Site may be incorrectly priced. If the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as an error, we do not have to provide the Booking to you at the incorrect (lower) price.

Payments for all Bookings must be made by credit or debit card, for which there shall be no additional charge.

All bookings are subject to a booking fee


You warrant that the information contained in your Booking is accurate. All event line ups are correct at time of booking, but may be subject to change. Only if the event is for a particular performer shall Yippee Productions be liable to refund payment in respect to a change in line up.

If an event is cancelled, Yippee Productions will offer a refund or ticket transfer in respect to full paid tickets or a transfer to another show for 3rd party bookings

Bookings made through the Site or via telephone are non-refundable and non-transferable unless an event is cancelled or changed in accordance with the previous 2 paragraphs.


If we have to make a change to your Booking, we will inform you as soon as possible.

We reserve the right at any time to cancel or change any Booking made and to provide a full refund or substitute alternative arrangements in our sole discretion and without liability to you.

All changes by you must be requested in writing by the person who has made the Booking. We will make every effort to accommodate your changes but may not always be able to do so. If such changes incur additional costs, you agree to meet them upon request. Adding additional group members will be charged at the same rate per party member and is subject to availability.


We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under the Contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Event”).

Should a Force Majeure Event occur that results in the Booking being cancelled by us, we will re-arrange the Booking where practicable.

Should a Force Majeure Event occur that results in you or your party being unable to attend, your individual Booking or entire Booking (where appropriate) will be cancelled without liability to us.

A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:

  • severe or adverse weather conditions;
  • civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war;
  • fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster;
  • impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport;
  • impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks;
  • the acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government; and
  • pandemic or epidemic.


Where our Site contains links to other sites or resources, information or advertising provided by third parties, this is provided for your information only. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources, advertising or information and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.


We will use any information that you provide through this Site or via telephone in accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy https://www.justthetonic.com/privacy/. The Privacy Policy https://www.justthetonic.com/privacy/ forms part of these Terms and Conditions and by using this Site you acknowledge and agree that you have read and accept the terms of that Privacy Policy https://www.justthetonic.com/privacy/.

By registering to use this Site and by providing your e-mail address, you agree that Yippee Productions (Just the Tonic) can send you offers your e-mail. If you do not wish to receive these offers or wish to opt-out at any time, please send an e-mail to [email protected] or change your permissions settings which can easily be accessed at the bottom of any marketing emails


To the extent permitted by law, we, other members of our group of companies and third parties connected to us hereby expressly exclude:

  • all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.
  • any liability whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising under or in connection with the Contract for:
    • any loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue;
    • loss or corruption of data, information or software;
    • loss of business opportunity;
    • loss of anticipated savings;
    • loss of goodwill; or
    • any indirect or consequential loss.
      whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable, provided that this condition shall not prevent claims for loss of or damage to your tangible property or any other claims for direct financial loss that are not excluded by any of the categories set out above.

Subject the paragraph below, our total liability to you in respect of all losses arising under or in connection with the Contract, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, shall in no circumstances exceed the price of the Booking.

This does not affect our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, nor our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.


The English courts will have the exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising from, or related to, a visit to our Site although we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these conditions in your country of residence or any other relevant country.
These terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.


We aim to update these terms and conditions and other parts of our Site regularly, and may change the content at any time. If the need arises, we may suspend access to our Site, or close it indefinitely. Any of the material on our Site may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update such material.


A person who is not party to these terms and conditions or a Contract shall not have any rights under or in connection with them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.


We may transfer our rights and obligations under a Contract to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under these terms and conditions.

You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these terms and conditions to another person if we agree in writing.

Each of the paragraphs of these terms and conditions operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

If we fail to insist that you perform any of your obligations under these terms and conditions, or if we do not enforce our rights against you, or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you and will not mean that you do not have to comply with those obligations. If we do waive a default by you, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any later default by you.

General Terms and Conditions for Booking for Just the Tonic Comedy Clubs

All bookings made through www.justthetonic.com and via the main box office are processed by Yippee Productions Ltd (Just the Tonic), Unit 6 35 Warser Gate, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire NG3 5DF, United Kingdom

We charge a £1pp booking fee for bookings made via the website or by phone

Tickets will not be sent, as we are a ticketless service. A booking confirmation and e-receipt will be sent to the email address supplied during the booking process. Please check your spam/ Junk folder.

Please let us know at the time of booking if you are a single sex Hen or Stag party to save any issues on the evening.

All bookings made will automatically be charged the full amount. For security reasons we will require the card details used in the booking to be provided by the card holder at the time of booking

Just the Tonic do not store customer credit or debit card details, all transactions are handled by our preferred secure payment gateway (Secure Hosting Ltd).

If you require seating with another group, please put their name in the notes and that you would like to be sat together, excludes voucher bookings or please call the box office directly

Show times and line ups are subject to change without prior notice

Any discount codes are subject to availability and NOT valid for any Just the Tonic Special shows (inc New year's Eve, Tour shows and Christmas shows) in any venue. Codes are subject to the £1pp booking fee. Promotional codes can only be used on the day or period or shows stated in the promotion.

ALL Concession tickets - A valid ID card is required for each ticket purchased at a concessionary rate, these are limited per show so book early to avoid dissapointment. Carer Tickets, there is a limited number of free carer tickets available, Carer’s must be in receipt of AA (Attendance allowance). OAP discount is for 60 years and over

All venues may operate strobe lighting during the show and bag searches will be conducted.

Occasionally we take promotional picture during our shows, you may appear in some of these photos, by booking tickets you will be agreeing to us using these images nationwide to promote the brand

Any complaints regarding the show or view, must be made to the duty manager on the night of the show.

The venue does not allow the use of camera, Audio equipment or mobile phones. Please enjoy your time in the venue, just sit back and watch the shows. Filiming is strictly prohibited, you will be asked to delete the film from your device and you may be asked to leave the venue

Large groups of 10 or more people may be asked to pay a good behavioural bond on arrival. This will be redeemed after the show at the show manager’s discretion, based on how the party have conducted themselves during the comedians set and intervals in between.This is £10pp cash only on arrival at the venue. We want everyone to enjoy the comedy in the room on the night including large groups, look at it as us looking after your Kebab or taxi home money!

If an audience member persistently interrupts a performer or if the heckling is vicious, racist, or in any other way offensive in our opinion we will take action to put a stop to it by asking that person and possibly the group to leave. In most cases this will firstly be a polite request for the offender to stop their heckling. Let the comedians do what you pay them to do and entertain you, we don’t book the best for nothing!

No offensive novelty toys, they will be kept at our box office through the show and returned at the end of the show. Fancy dress is allowed but it must be tasteful and not deemed as crude or offensive, if your attire stops other people enjoying the show (i.e. flashing lights, big hat etc) we will ask you to remove the items.

Dress code is smart casual - Caps are not allowed due to CCTV coverage throughout our venues.

Smoking & Electronic cigarettes are not permitted in any venue.

Entry to the comedy club’s is restricted to persons aged 18 years or over except for Leicester venue can allow under 18’s but only if pre-arranged. All venues operate the “Challenge 25″ scheme, therefore clubs reserve the right to request proof of age if you look under 25 (ID Accepted: Valid Passport or Valid Driver’s Licence)

Although the venue will endeavour to have all your party on one table (where applicable), larger parties may be split across tables and smaller parties may have to share tables with other parties.

There is no guarantee of entrance on the door. We recommend you purchase in advance. Tickets on the night will cost you more so save money by booking in advance

The management reserve the right to refuse admission to both the comedy and after show party. The managers decision is final.

Refunds & Cancellations

• We operate a strict no-refund policy, where possible we can try and move your booking to a new date but not on the day of a show.

• No cancellations, alterations or reductions can be made

• Although unusual, shows may be cancelled at short notice. On the rare occasion that this may occur you will be informed as soon as possible and offered an alternative evening to the same value at the same location or a full refund at the venues discretion.

Use of Information

• Email addresses supplied will be used for internal marketing purposes but will not be passed on to third parties. This means you will occasionally receive offers from us and will be opted in to our newsletter. If you wish to “opt-out”, this can be done by clicking the unsubscribe link within the email. Third Party Bookings

PLEASE NOTE - We will stop accepting all vouchers in Reading from October 6th 2018 onwards. Vouchers will not be accepted on any shows after this date.

Multiple vouchers are sat at tables (where applicable) next to each other where possible and not promised, you will not be sat on the same table.

Gift experiences are strictly limited to a maximum one voucher per group and that group bookings are not accepted. You must attend book and attend before the expiry date. All bookings made with third party vouchers and offer codes are non-refundable.

3rd party vouchers, can be used up to 1 month in advance of a show. They cannot be redeemed on the day of the show, they are booked via e-mail only - [email protected]

All shows have limited third party voucher spaces, and bookings made with vouchers are subject to availability. They are valid on Saturday shows only.

Offer codes and vouchers - These are NOT valid for Just The Tonic Specials / Touring shows / New year’s Eve or Christmas shows, you will not get entry into Just The Tonic Specials using these tickets - you will be given a full refund for your booking should a booking go through with one in error.

Most offers are for tickets only - food and drinks come at a separate cost. Christmas Show tickets may include food, which is provided by the relevant venue. By purchasing the food ticket through us you are entering into a contract with the relevant venue for that section of the booking and Yippee Productions Ltd are acting as an agent for the sale of those goods. The same is applicable for any pre ordered food and drink at any of the venues we use, or the 3rd party providers we use for pre show or after show offers and deals.

Christmas Bookings

£10.00 deposit per person will secure your booking. Full balances must be paid for by the 27th September All £10 per person deposits are non refundable or transferable and cannot be used to pay off the balance on the Christmas party and cannot be used as a bar tab.. Any discount code must be quoted at the time of booking. All food must be pre ordered 3 weeks before show date. Any orders not submitted will receive a Festive burger and a Vanillia flavoured Ice Cream.

Sorry but codes cannot be added to bookings once a payment has been taken

No deposits taken after the 30th October. All bookings after this date have to be paid in full at time of booking. No tickets can be reserved.

Venue seating

Just the Tonic at The Comedy shows have two types of seating, Standard or Premium You will get an allocated table with your party seating but we cannot promise you will have a clear view of the stage. Premium seating is allocated at the very front of the room, it does not come with a table but you will have the best view in the room!

Just the Tonic in Nottingham and Leicester have theatre seating. There are no tables. All seating is unreserved and is allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Just the Tonic SPECIAL shows are first come, first serve seating and usually have no tables, please arrive early if you wish to have the best view in the room on the night! Groups must arrive early to make sure you can all sit together.
