After more than a decade of cult Fringe success, Comedy in the Dark returns to Edinburgh this summer, inviting audiences to experience live comedy in a way they’ve never quite seen before (or rather, not seen at all). Back with a fresh line-up of hand-picked talent, the show sticks to its famously simple format: one compere, three comedians, total darkness.

The result is an hour of stand-up that’s intimate, unpredictable, and oddly immersive. Without visual cues, the audience shares the experience on the same terms as the performer — fully focused and totally present.
