Justin Moorhouse

“Easily my favourite comedian” Jimmy Carr

You may have seen his tiger face as ‘Young Kenny’ on ‘Phoenix Nights’, you may have seen him (without the tiger face) on Ch 4’s hugely popular ‘8 out of 10 Cats’. You may have read his weekly column in the Manchester Evening News, or heard his gravel-voiced banter on his award-winning daily radio show on Manchester’s Key 103. You might not have. Whatever! Don’t miss seeing Justin at Just the Tonic!

“Hilarious” Manchester Evening News

“Funnier than a monkey on a bike – and that’s funny!” Dave Spikey

He’s come a very long way since winning the ‘City Life Comedian of the Year’ Award in 2000 and being placed second in the ‘BBC New Talent Awards’ the following year. He was soon supporting stand-up luminaries Peter Kay, Dave Spikey, John Thomson and Jimmy Carr on tour before playing to sell out audiences across the North West with his own solo shows in 2004 & 2006. He picked up a nomination for ‘Best Comedy Performance’ (Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards 2004) alongside the likes of Bill Bailey and Ross Noble.

“Quirky and imaginative stories…A brilliant entertainer” The Stage

“Simply Superb” Liverpool Echo

“Exudes a likeable energy that could raise the dead…his is the sort of personality which you instinctively trust to make you laugh - and he doesn't disappoint…impressive indeed…you’d have to be an incurable sourpuss not to enjoy his energetic bonhomie” chortle.co.uk

Justin is now in great demand as a stand-up, actor, writer, TV and radio presenter, voiceover artiste and corporate performer and is busy developing several original ideas for radio television – as well as gearing up for his autumn tour and presenting a live daily radio show. This is all a far cry away from being fired from his day job in 2000 over a misunderstanding with a parking ticket, company car, and a firm of Salford bailiffs!
